Leica 2030 Biocut Microtome
The Leica 2030 Biocut microtome (Reichert-Jung) is a manual rotary microtome that features a digital section counter. The vertical stroke length is 60 mm and the section thickness is adjustable between 0.5 and 60 microns.
The 2030 Biocut is low maintenance with a backlash-free micrometer feed system. The prelubricated cross roller bearings provide for consistent, accurate sectioning. The coarse-feed positioning hand wheel advances the specimen to the knife edge with a total feed excursion of 25 mm (1″). Because the 2030 Biocut has a counterbalanced cutting hand wheel the sectioning is smooth and fatigue-free. And it has an easily-controllable sectioning speed driven on maintenance-free cross roller guides.
The Leica 2030 Biocut comes with a knife holder E for disposable blades Type II, a blade rail for either high or low profile blades, a universal quick release cassette clamp, and an operator manual.
